How does your media product represent particular social
1.
2. My media product represents the age group (and target
audience) age of 12-26 because of the bands featured in the
magazine, as most of the artists featured in the magazine are
young and have a fan base of a similar age group to my
magazine.
Also, the text within the magazine is aimed towards people of
that age group as it uses informal language, and the dialect of
young British people.
3.
From the audience research I conducted, I found out that the
level of male to female readers would be pretty even, so I
produced my magazine accordingly.
None of the stories or images is gender specific, and no text is
voiced from male or female orientated perspective.
4. My media product represents particular social groups mainly
through the fashion of the artists featured in the magazine, as
they wear the stereotypical fashion of the indie culture (skinny
jeans, checked shirts, etc.) and this would make any reader
relate with the artists featured in the magazine.

5. Due to the pricing of the magazine, I would say that the class
represented by the magazine is lower-middle class upwards,
as the magazine is on a upper level price.
I have priced it like this as the magazine has a unique selling
point of being the only mainstream, popular magazine that
features both unsigned and popular acts.
