Why are Absolut ads so memorable?Why do collectors crave them? Simple Answer The execution ABSOLUT-ly brilliant Two simple words (and the first is always the same A single stunning image – the iconic bottle painted, built, deconstructed, reconstructed, dressed, undressed, decorated, and transformed.
Absolut Introduction  Campaign Running since 1981 Earlier  know by “Absolut rent Branvin” Spread over 126 Countries Employee  more than 2500 Inducted in the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Hall of Fame in 1992 along with just two other brands : Coca Cola and Nike. Of the three, only Absolut accomplished this feat without the benefit of the other, much more powerful advertising medium : Television Signature Campaign of TBWA
Absolut Beginning 1981-84
Milk Bottle Shot When the campaign began, in 1981, Absolut was selling 20,000 cases annually in the U.S.A ; by 1995 the sales were ober 3 million cases – an increase in 14900!
This may have been the first ad to run; no one is quite certain anymore. Space was purchased in the NYT on a standby basis, meaning that ad could run anywhere, anytime. The staff of the Times, thinking they were doing the client a favor, ran the ad opposite the obituaries.

Golf was very upscale, customer were playing it,  And that ABSOLUT 19th was exactly the place to wind down after a day on the links.

Absolut Cities 1987- ___ There are often good marketing reasons to support a particular city. 2 dozen city ads, now added/year. People want an Absolut ad to honor their city, to show it’s arrived.
It was the start of a time when Absolut bottles were showing up everywhere you turned.
