The Kong Dispenser Dog Toy - Dogs Need a Kong
1. The Kong Dispenser Dog Toy - Dogs Need a Kong
We offer pet toys that are safe, durable and long-lasting that will keep your pet secured and
satisfied.
There are many benefits to using Kongs for dogs, some of these include:
Training- Kong rubber chew toys are effective and useful when used as training tools. The
Kong dog toy is useful when it comes time to reward your pet. You can offer it solo or lightly-
stuffed with one of our delicious treats. Treats work wonders especially when you are
teaching the dog basic commands.
Chewing- One of the most common frustrations amongst dog owners is chewed-up furniture,
shoes, books, children’s toys, etc. This behavior is annoying but natural and beneficial to a
dog. Chewing plays a crucial role in their physical development, especially a puppy. Teething
is painful/frustration to a puppy and they chew to relieve discomfort. There are many Kong
toys available no matter what teething stage your dog is in.
Anxiety- Your dog experiences different emotions when you’re not home. He fears being left
alone or the stress regarding whether you will return. The most common behavior problems
caused by separation anxiety include: whining, excessive barking, chewing, hyperactivity, or
depression. A Kong product will help take his mind off of your departure and the fact he’s
alone.
While these toys are beneficial, there is a specific approach that is recommended that
ensures your pet knows how to enjoy the many benefits of this popular toy.
Phase 1: Intro to Toy- Fill the hollow section of the Kong dispenser with recommended
delicious treats that are easily dispensable. Begin by using smaller treats/kibbles that will fall
out easier than other.
Phase 2: Maintain-Enrichment- Once you have successfully conquered the beginning phase
(1-2 weeks), gradually increase treat portions/or use larger treats. Larger treats/portions will
be harder for your dog to dislodge.
Phase 3: Advanced-Enrichment- This is the final step of the phase process. After your dog
has successfully mastered the other phases, start to add liquid to the treat inside your Kong.
After you add liquid, place the Kong in the freezer. This will provide an even longer challenge
for your pet.
Basically, get into the habit of calling it a “KONG”; this will help familiarize your dog with his
2. new chew toy. The continuous benefits of this chew toy will help relieve stress; keep your pet
occupied while you are away, and will provide hours of fun for your furry little friend.
