represent particular social
groups?
There are various characters who play a part just like Dion in other films, but the character that I will
pick out similarities and differences for is Dalton who plays a smart bank robber in Inside Man
(Lee, 2006), as this was the character who most inspired our piece

2. Similarities
 They both carry out tasks not only for extrinsic
rewards being money for the two but for intrinsic
rewards as well.
 Both defy the rules of the law
 They have an objective and are very focused on
completing the task
 The character Dion is playing ‘Nadil Hassan’ is around
the same age as Dalton
 There are both strong, arrogant and stern in the way
they talk which gives of a hint of dominance associated
with the male gender

3. Differences
 Although both could be conceived as law breakers,
Dion’s aim is to fill his hunger to succeed whereas
Dalton’s is to provide justice
 They come from very different backgrounds, Dion
grew up in a wasteland where he had to fend for
himself and make it on his own, whereas Dalton was
the president of Algeria
 Dion works alone as he grew up with no help, whereas
Dalton works with people as he was able to appreciate
the advantages of companionship in his presidential
years
