6. ALICE WALKER The Color Purple is a very interesting movie Its about a young 14 year old southern black girl, who has a very horrific lifestyle. Her name is Celie. She is molested and abused physically and mentally by her stepfather and her soon to be husband. It shows the poor African Americans. It’s a story that will truly have you in tears Steven Speilburg produced the movie.
8. ALICE WALKER The two stories that interested me the most was “Everyday Use” and “The Color Purple” In those stories, Walker tells her readers a lot She talks on woman being mistreated by men She talks about how important one’s heritage is She makes it known that the majority of her women characters have been through A LOT
10. ALICE WALKER She expresses a lot within her writings She expresses Black feminism, racial issues, & relationships. Walker is very versatile She is well known for defending woman.
11. ALICE WALKER Walker believes that women should be treated equal in every aspect of their lives. She is very big on the rise of independence for women. Her strong feminist ways lead to a lot of controversy during this story. Walker wants all women to stand up for themselves especially when it comes to a man being disrespectful, abusive, and just flat out harmful
12. ALICE WALKER In addition to Walker believing infeminism, she also expressed racial issues within her writings She focused a lot on the fact that white and black woman dealt with similar struggles but at the same time, a white woman couldn’t strongly relate to things that a black woman would go through.
13. ALICE WALKER Due to her lack of relationships, I believe that’s why she chose to express the poor relationships in her writings Most people believe that she is just anti-men “The Color Purple” and “Everyday Use” both express her beliefs and thoughts on Black feminism, racial issues, and relationships.
