The objectives to this assignment were: -Identifying the company -what services do they provide -mission statement -how long have they been in business -benefits -how training is delivered within organization -how training is delivered to outside clients - Identifying specific ID and IT needs -how is ID being addressed in company -what technology innovations are being experienced in company -who is currently responsible for meeting ID and IT needs -Identifying ID and IT employment opportunities in the company -address skills developed in ID and IT at Chico -what relevant skills could be marketed with company -what would be an ideal ID and IT position with company -identify how info presented was researched, analyzed, and reported -identify contacts that were helpful (or efforts for contacting) -identify if this is a company worth serious efforts for gaining employment why or why not ?

- Today, working in partnership with the University of California, Merced , the Great Valley Center continues to be supported by foundations, individuals and corporations who have an interest in improving the Great Central Valley's quality of life. GVC's Board of Directors has adopted a policy of non-advocacy. Therefore, the Great Valley Center does not endorse candidates or ballot initiatives.
- GVC has been given the budget to increase its manpower for Instructional Designers, the positions that will be available will be in the Bakersfield area. Those who are interested need to be reminded that even though it is in the Bakersfield area it is a superb position with a superb organization that have given many opportunities for graduating students to step into employment. Other opportunities from GVC are working as a volunteer in their various workshops of interest.
- recognized statewide as a viable and sustainable oriented organization that has strong board of Directors who are focused on making the state of California compliant to the AB32 bill. They are program strong. They are meeting the needs for business by their Agricultural, Energy, and water usage programs in their regions.
