2. Cutting Tools:Hand Saw A hand saw is a tool designed to cut straight lines in dimensioned lumber. There are 2 different models of this tool; a cross cut saw (designed to cut across the grain direction) and a rip saw (designed to cut along the grain direction).
3. Cutting Tools:Back Saw A backsaw is any handsaw which has a stiffening rib on the edge opposite the cutting edge, allowing for better control and more precise cutting than with other types of saws.
