Rande Lazar, MD has been the director of the pediatric otolaryngology fellowship training program in Memphis, Tennessee for nearly 30 years. He is a member of the American Auditory Society (AAS) which holds an annual scientific conference to educate specialists on emerging technologies and clinical practices for balance and hearing disorders. In 2016, AAS held its 43rd annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona where attendees learned about various topics and AAS presented awards to professionals in the field.

2.  Based in Memphis, Tennessee, Rande Lazar, MD, has led the
pediatric otolaryngology fellowship training program as
director for nearly three decades. Complementing his
professional work, Rande Lazar, MD, maintains memberships
with numerous medical organizations such as the American
Auditory Society (AAS).
In an effort to furthering knowledge of various balance and
hearing disorders, AAS offers its network of multidisciplinary
professionals with a number of educational publications and
events each year. Perhaps the organization’s most prominent
meeting is its annual Scientific and Technology Conference,
through which balance and hearing specialists can learn about
emerging technologies and developments in clinical practices.

3.  From March 2-5, 2016, AAS held its 43rd Annual
Conference at Chaparral Suites Scottsdale in
Arizona. Throughout the event, guests had the
opportunity to attend sessions covering a wide
range of topics such as electric stimulation as a
method of treatment for tinnitus and the
relationship between Type 1 Diabetes and the loss
of hearing. AAS also honored several
professionals with its annual Life Achievement,
New Investigator Travel, and Editor’s awards.
Following the traditions of previous years, guests
at the annual meeting could attend a social
gathering at the nearby Phoenix Zoo.
