• Make your profile private
• Don’t list your birthdate (at least the
year), school, workplace, town etc.
• DO NOT put your phone number
• Limit your personal statement, you don’t
want strangers to feel that they “know
you”
• Never accept an invite on Facebook, if
you plan to go speak to the host(ess) in
person
• Don’t tag your photos
• Only allow friends access to view
pictures and prevent them from
downloading photos (they can ask for
copies)
• Be careful about the apps that you add

any inappropriate content in a variety of ways, but telling
a trusted adult will likely help you get results faster.
