2. … Genre Here are some screen shots from my trailer, which I believe represent the genre of my trailer which is social realism.
3. This screen shot is from the beginning of my trailer, where are several still shots of the location. The sign is worn away and rusty, which helps set up the mood of the trailer. These two still are the other “establishing shots” from the beginning of the trailer which also create a tone for the trailer. Altogether, with the black and white filter over them, they set the mood as gloomy and dull.
4. The expression of the main character in the largest screenshot is solemn and serious, which gives the audience an idea of what kind of mood the film is which links to the genre of the film. Again, the main character is seen looking somber in this screenshot. With the black and white filter over the shots, it is easy to establish the genre as one with a storylines with serious themes within.
5. … Narrative “ In media terms, narrative is the coherence/organisation given to a series of facts.” Within my trailer, the footage featured doesn’t necessarily run in order, however the use of inter titles helps establish a sense of narrative.
