Vetiver grass was planted in various areas before and after photos to show its effectiveness in revegetation, reforestation, preventing soil erosion, slope stabilization, and reducing silt in water bodies. Strategic vetiver planting in a catchment area reduced silt carried by rainwater to a water body by 99% after one monsoon season compared to the previous year.
