Social Networking Option Customers may opt-in to allow readers to share portions of eBiM produced works via social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter. This is accomplished by highlighting excerpts with or without highlighted objects and posting content in preferred networks. Sharing favorite passages allows for others to experience eBiM produced works with links to retailers. And “postings” are recorded and reported to customers to monitor preferred content, plus posting location and volume.
US Patent Application Procedural Patent Submissions   1.  Automated process to detect key words within a digital text file, which are highlighted to identify the location of intelligence objects which open resident media files; referred to as  Intelligent Highlighting (IH) . 2.  IH Metadata   (IHM)  allows for portions of eBiM produced works to be shared on social networks; where author, title, and page numbers are automatically identify. IHM also provides links to retailers and tracks social network postings which automatically generates traffic reports for customers.
Revenue Models Production: Price Per Page  – As is common in the publishing industry, customers will be charged a small fee per page. Annual Fee  – Publishers may choose an annual fee for eBook production based on volume. Small Production Fixed Fee  – Production of works with less than 100 pages will be charged a fixed fee. Additional Services: Library, Gallery, Collaboration  – An annual subscription fee will be applied to promotional (Library) and media acquisition (Gallery), and Collaborative networking services.
Sales Channels Indirect & Direct Channels Publishers  do not poses the resources to produce eBooks or enhanced eBooks and have publically stated doing so is not economical. Therefore,  eBiM  will engage publishers as channel partners where incentives are provided. Independent authors  will approached directly with via various forms of viral marketing within social networks, industry web site promotion, and free webinars. Self-publishing  organizations will serve as  channel partners via connection to  eBiM  services. Literary Agents  will serve as representatives where compensation for driving authors to  eBiM  services.
Book Publishers Publishers represent the principal indirect sales channels where discounts are provided for direct access eBiM services or when contract authors access services via a link from the publishers website. Annual contracts will be offered where further enhanced eBook production discounts are applied based on volumes. Over 33  publishers in Germany and the UK have been identified as participants in the eBiM Pilot Program, scheduled for Q4 2011, where access to eBiM services are provided free of charge for evaluation purposes.

The purpose behind the Gallery is dedicated to helping our customers purchase multimedia for publication. Connecting the authoring community with media producers is intended to promote the production of enhanced eBooks while creating new distribution channels for artists.

  • 12. Social Networking Option Customers may opt-in to allow readers to share portions of eBiM produced works via social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter. This is accomplished by highlighting excerpts with or without highlighted objects and posting content in preferred networks. Sharing favorite passages allows for others to experience eBiM produced works with links to retailers. And “postings” are recorded and reported to customers to monitor preferred content, plus posting location and volume.

Automated process to detect key words within a digital text file, which are highlighted to identify the location of intelligence objects which open resident media files; referred to as Intelligent Highlighting (IH) . 2. IH Metadata (IHM) allows for portions of eBiM produced works to be shared on social networks; where author, title, and page numbers are automatically identify. IHM also provides links to retailers and tracks social network postings which automatically generates traffic reports for customers.
  • 14. Revenue Models Production: Price Per Page – As is common in the publishing industry, customers will be charged a small fee per page. Annual Fee – Publishers may choose an annual fee for eBook production based on volume. Small Production Fixed Fee – Production of works with less than 100 pages will be charged a fixed fee. Additional Services: Library, Gallery, Collaboration – An annual subscription fee will be applied to promotional (Library) and media acquisition (Gallery), and Collaborative networking services.
  • 15. Sales Channels Indirect & Direct Channels Publishers do not poses the resources to produce eBooks or enhanced eBooks and have publically stated doing so is not economical. Therefore, eBiM will engage publishers as channel partners where incentives are provided. Independent authors will approached directly with via various forms of viral marketing within social networks, industry web site promotion, and free webinars. Self-publishing organizations will serve as channel partners via connection to eBiM services. Literary Agents will serve as representatives where compensation for driving authors to eBiM services.

Book Publishers Publishers represent the principal indirect sales channels where discounts are provided for direct access eBiM services or when contract authors access services via a link from the publishers website. Annual contracts will be offered where further enhanced eBook production discounts are applied based on volumes. Over 33 publishers in Germany and the UK have been identified as participants in the eBiM Pilot Program, scheduled for Q4 2011, where access to eBiM services are provided free of charge for evaluation purposes.

As eBook prices are at least half as much as printed books, agents are looking for new revenue streams. eBiM will engage the Literary Agent network as a sales channel where they may increase revenue in three ways: 1. The cost of enhanced eBooks will increase per-book sales revenue. 2. Enhanced eBooks are expected to out sell standard eBooks as new low cost tablets / readers enter the market. 3.
