diseases such as the Bubonic Plague with
being one of the major driving factors in
human history; they say it has been as
important a factor as geography or war.

3. ASSIGNMENT
Question: How can disease profoundly affect the history of a
civilization?
• You should use the Bubonic Plague as an example.
Therefore, you should explain how the Bubonic Plague
affected the world in the 14th century.
• You should also use an example of a different disease that
has affected the world in the past 100 years, such as
smallpox, the Spanish Flu, Malaria, AIDS, Cholera, or
Typhus.
• Your essay should follow the standards of mechanics,
usage, and grammar.
• You must use three or more quality sources outside of the
textbook. Two of those must be physical, print sources.
