2. The early childhood education program focuses on the growth and development of young children, infant through eight years, with an emphasis on healthyadult-child relationships.

11. TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE This certificate consists of 31 hours of course work consisting of one practicum.

12. ADMINISTRATOR CERTIFICATE This certificate is 18 hours and would help those who are in an administrative position in a child care center.

13. ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE This is a 69 hours degree which may transfer to Ball State University. With this degree you may choose to complete your bachelor’s degree at Ball State and obtain your license to teach Kindergarten through third grade in a public school setting.

14. Transfer to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. This is a 69 hour Distance Education Degree. You will do most courses online. You may choose to become licensed to teach kindergarten through third grade.

15. Transfer to Martin University. This is a 72 hour degree which after completing a bachelor’s degree you will be qualified to work in child care centers such as Head Start, Day Nursery, and in the community with resource and referral agencies.

16. Associate of Applied Science via Distance Degree. This degree is an AA degree and is not transferrable.

22. T.E.A.C.H. Teacher Education and Compensation Helps Scholarship Opportunities Available Scholarships are available to those working at least 30 hours a week in licensed, registered, or legally exempt early childhood center, family child care home, or registered ministry within Indiana. Scholarship covers the major share of the cost of tuition and books.
