Digital divides “…as ICT use becomes woven into the fabric of everyday life the divisions of ICT use are strengthened rather than diminishing”  (futurelab 2007) Digital divide isn’t just about access/social deprivation, it’s about how technology is used
Why is digital literacy important?  Fundamental social and economic changes: the reconfiguration of employment, education, health, welfare, politics, leisure and entertainment Functions and processes increasingly organised around networks rather than physical spaces (Manuel Castells 1996)
