2. Summing Up
 Immortality need not consist of a single pleasurable activity to be
attractive.
 Immortality need not consist solely of pleasurable activities to be
attractive.
 The standards for immortality should match those for a mortal
existence.
 An immortal life consisting only of self-exhausting pleasures
would be boring—but there’s no reason to think a life of
repeatable pleasures, appropriately spaced (and perhaps
combined with spiritual and religious experiences) could not give
rise to positive categorical desires even in an immortal life.
