Brown Eye Experiment
After watching the video on the brown eye experiment, my eyes were opened to how
much we often make comments without even thinking about how offensive that comment could
be. Being the person I am, I have never had to deal with the kind of comments or treatment that
the people in the video were exposed to. It made me realize that we need to try to end the racial
slurs because we can really be judging someone based upon their looks. This experiment was a
good way to show others how we truly treat those who are “different” and how badly it can hurt
them. Based upon the experiment that was done with those with blue eyes, we saw just how
much of a toll it took on some of the people. This experiment needs to be watched by every
person so they are educated on how treating people differently based upon their appearance can
harmfully affect someone’s emotional and mental state .
