He was born in Gentilly, near Paris, 14th April 1912.

After the Second World War he joined the
Alliance Photo Agency and in 1949 he
started to work as a fashion photographer for
Vogue. But he prefer capture the little things
of everyday life…

He’s known for his images in Paris
streets and cafes
