1. Portrait Photography:
What makes some portrait
shots stand out from others?

2. Give your portraits the
WOW! factor with these tips
for shooting adults and
children;

3. Frame the subject:
This draws attention to the
person rather than other
elements of the image.

4. 1. place the subject in a doorway
2. put their hands around their
face
3. find something that may be
used as a frame.

5. Experiment with different backgrounds;
At times, no background other than a solid
colour works best for your shot.

6. Certain backgrounds can
actually draw the eye away
and so focuses more
attention on the subject!

7. Change angle of camera;
Tilt the camera slightly and take
the shot.

8. Get down and shoot up or
shoot down from above.
This changes the perspective of
the shot.
