                 español
Yo - Nosotros(as) -

Tú - Vosotros(as) –

Él/Ella Ellos/Ellas
Usted - Ustedes -
 Verbs are recognized in Spanish by their
    ending.
 There are 3 types of verbs:
    ◦ AR
    ◦ ER
    ◦ IR

      Examples: HABLAR, COMER, VIVIR
An unchanged verb is called
an INFINITIVE
What other infinitives do
you know?
 Both in English and Spanish verbs CHANGE
depending on the SUBJECT of the sentence.
 This is called CONJUGATING a verb.
 In English it looks like this: verb = to talk
    ◦ I talk
    ◦ You talk
    ◦ He/She/it talks
    ◦ We talk
    ◦ All of you talk
    ◦ They talk
 In Spanish each Subject Pronoun has its own
    form.
 For AR verbs the endings go as follows:

        Yo - Nosotros(as) -
        Tú - Vosotros(as) –
        Él/Ella Ellos/Ellas
        Usted - Ustedes -
 The process of conjugating is simple.
 FIRST:
 Chop off the AR ending from the
infinitive. What you have left is called
  your STEM.
 SECOND:
 Add the ending that matches your
  subject to the stem.
 HABLAR
 Stem = HABL

      Yo - HABL Nosotros(as) - HABL

      Tú - HABL Vosotros(as) – HABL

      Él/Ella Ellos/Ellas
Usted - HABL Ustedes - HABL
Yo - Nosotros(as) -

Tú - Vosotros(as) –

Él/Ella Ellos/Ellas
Usted - Ustedes -
Yo - Nosotros(as) -

Él/Ella Ellos/Ellas
Usted - Ustedes -

 2. ¿Tú ___________ (escuchar) la música?
 3. él ____________ (practicar) deportes.
