Evangelistic Approach Prototype

Goal: To help believer discern whether or not a narrative or systematic Gospel
presentation is appropriate
The problem: It’s often difficult to discern whether the person being shared with is
thinking in light of story. I’ve sometimes missed connecting with a person
because when I use a narrative Gospel approach they are caught off guard
because they have never thought in light of the whole.
Intro: Describe your ideal birthday? Who is there, and what are you all doing?
Transition: Tell me about your last birthday. How did it measure up to your ideal?
Pivot Point for the Believer: Discern the connection between the people and
events that the hearer described, and pose that connection to them for feedback.
If they resonate with the connection, proceed towards a more narrative Gospel
approach.
If they do not resonate with the connection proceed towards a more systematic
Gospel approach.
