3. “Behold, I will do something
new, Now, it will spring
forth; Will you not be aware
of it? I will even make a
roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert”
ISAIAH 43:19
4. New Beginning
A new beginning is a dream of many,
but an experienced and a possession of
few.
Example: In the wilderness,
approximately 2 million Israelites
journeyed towards the Promised Land,
but new life in the Promised Land was
an experienced and a reality to only 2
sojourners and to a totally new
generation of Israelites.
5. New Beginning
Only for the few who have discovered
the mind of God and aligned
themselves to God’s requirements.
Example: Millions are religious and
naturally good, but only those who are
in Christ experience a new creation.
In Christ alone is the New Beginning
because He is the Alpha (The
Beginning)
6. New Beginning
Only for the few whose characters have been
transformed and whose dreams have been
conquered and purified by God’s dream.
Example: Isaiah 43 talks about Jacob (selfish,
self-centered, swindler), then describes him
as Israel (prince with God, champion wrestler
who is owned by God).
To be owned by God is to own God. When
Jacob became God’s Israel then things have
never been the same again.
7. Expansion comes
to a People Who
are Protected by
God Isaiah 43:1-7
Because of transformation – v.1
Because of honor – v.4
Because of His Love – v.4
Because of His Promises – vv. 5-6
Because of His Name – v.7a
Because of His Plan – v.7b
8. Expansion Comes
to a People of
Faith
Isaiah 43:10
“Expect Great Things From God,
Attempt Great Things For God”
William Carey – “Father of Modern
Missions”, Missionary to India,
Translator of the Bible to Bengali
(India’s local dialect). The 2 phrases
in this faith sentence, point to GOD.
Expansion starts from God: When
we begin to see that He is the
Author of New Things, God will be
able to expand us.
9. Expansion Comes
to a People Who
Witness Isaiah
43:10-12
To witness means to serve the One
who chose you; not something
else, not someone else.
To witness means to know (keep
on knowing) and to believe (keep
on acting on your faith) the only
True God and to have no other
gods beside Him.
To witness means to declare and
to proclaim His eternal works of
Salvation.
10. Expansion
Comes to
People Who
Believe in the
Holiness of God
Isaiah 43:14-21
The Holiness of God
– Judgments to the wicked v.14
The Holiness of God
– Transformation of lives v.15
The Holiness of God
– Deliverance acts of God v.16
The Holiness of God
– New Things in Christ v.18
The Holiness of God
– Mighty Provisions v.19
The Holiness of God
– Divine ability to honor God v.20
The Holiness of God

11. Expansion Comes
to a People Who
Repent from
Wicked Ways
Isaiah 43:22-28
There are wicked ways that are really
stubborn; hard to break away from.
The Love of God is more stubborn, He
will forgive and be gracious and He
will bring deliverance.
A Jacob will be transformed into
Israel, both for the physical and
spiritual Israel.
Repentance, if true will always bring
us back to God and will avail us of His
mercy.
12. The New Year 2014, invites all of us to a
New Beginning, a New Beginning that
will lead to Expansion.
Expansion is not cheap…it requires our
cooperation.
It must quicken is us a kind of
commitment, devotion, dedication,
consecration, sacrifices that have been
exemplified by biblical characters and
by Our Lord Jesus Himself.
