Process Writing
Product After considering the feedback provided by your peers and teacher, combine your writing and produce a final collaborative group piece Paste this into your page in Wordpress and include images/videos where appropriate Please refer to the instruction manual if familiar with Wordpress
Why do you write? Consider the purpose of your writing and the audience you are addressing In this exercise, you are to provide a description of your OBS experience and persuade your readers to continue with the programme
What are you writing? Your brochure can include, but is not limited, to the following types of writing ,[object Object]
Persuasion,[object Object]
Writing Recounts Language Features ‘time phrases/markers’ Adverbs, phrases and conjunctions which sequences events and structures the writing Past tense Verbs Action verbs (e.g. slept, ran, swum) Mental/thinking verbs (e.g. think, feel)
Writing a Persuasive Piece To convince others of your viewpoint Generic Structure Statement of Thesis Arguments PEE-model Point Elaboration Example Reinforcement of Thesis
Writing a Persuasive Piece Language Features Discourse organizers (e.g. firstly, on the other hand) Present tense Analytical/evaluative vocabulary Modals (e.g. can/should/must)
