- Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala describes those people who He calls the Intelligent Ones (Ulul Albab). It is important to understand this description and see if we fit it or not as we consider ourselves to be intelligent. Islam encourages research into the universe to gain recognition of who the creator is. If this research is done with taqwa in the heart it strengthens the taqwa and mankind glorifies the Creator. If it is done without taqwa, mankind goes towards kufr and atheism as we see in many cases. The key question is to understand that Iman comes before worldly knowledge and is essential to truly understand this knowledge without going totally astray.
