  2. 7:30 / 12.00       Breakfast/Lunch self serve starts as soon as 4 or 5 are ready lead by Ambassador or 10 minutes after the published start time 7.45 / 12.15 Meeting Kickoff by chair – welcome temporary Vistage group dd/mm made up of nominees - cover norms – phones – confidentiality – finish on time / Intro experience guide (presenter) Ask the nominees to get out their PAS in order to answer these 4 questions – give them about 1 minute to do so. 5 min Experience guide (presenter) - Goal / You have been nominated for Vistage & are part of this temporary Vistage group meeting. You will start down the road to get all 4 Vistage experiences (more detail in a minute) this week. These experiences are for those of who are interested in the nomination & appear to qualify – Experience is the only way to be able to make an informed Vistage decision for you or for us Special Handshake - You need to know what Vistage isn’t (networking, social, etc). Vistage is about experience not words / EXAMPLES - meeting – speaker – Carefrontation –“Vistage s a place where you come to have your answers questioned”- work on your business not in it - Personal Action Summaries (take them out & put your name on it) - starting today you will get these experiences 5 min Before we start go deeper into the experiences it is important for you know who is in your Vistage group and what a Vistage member is like. Introductions / Check in – Brief – Starting with ambassador (the long-term Vistage member and skipping host – Name, Company Name, 1 Sentence on what you do, Your Dream 10 to 15 min
  3. Leaders in a room - The way you get members up that ladder is to have 4 strong legs designed to come together to support your current and future climbs. The 1 st leg of the ladder is the monthly One day group session (Leaders in a room). Your Vistage group is (about the same size as we are today) i.e. is composed of 12 to 16 other successful CEOs who share their knowledge in a safe environment (no competitors, significant vendors or vendees and confidential (ask to affirm if chair did not)) with one mission and that is to help each other climb each step and arrive at the next level . Earlier we talked about the ultimate decision making machine , a major part of that machine is group decision processing, which you will experience in a few minutes when (fill in Chair's name) leads you through that. Today’s “group decision process” will use this group to help one of you make a better decision so all of you can experience what that is like. Before we experience that process lets hear what Luis and the member’s experience has been when they moved to Step 2 and started to make decisions (video decisions) 43 sec
  4. Thank you (chair) John. Now we promised that those of you who appear to quality and have interest can experience the 4 th leg of the ladder (the 121) later this week with (chair name). Please get out your calendars and find 90 minutes that we can come to your location to experience this next leg.
  5. The 4 th and final leg of the ladder is the one that you can’t experience today. Those of you who are interested and appear to qualified can experience this later this week with (chair name). This is your 2 hour 121 with your Vistage Group Chair. The Chair will help you gain clarity on your toughest decisions, prepare to bring an issue to the group and will hold you accountable for moving to the next level. The way 121s work is you have a 3 part agenda . You will go over the things you have been working on before (issues, accountability, growth, etc – for you speaker CD, “The Vistage Gateway”, etc), we will work on whatever the most important thing in your world is today (this week that will be us learning more about each other and how you fit Vistage and how Vistage fits you). Lastly the focus turns to what needs to be done next – those actions to get you to your goals or as Vistage would say the 3 rd step on our ladder – Better Results
  6. The 2 nd leg of the ladder has been designed to work hand in glove with the 1 st leg. You will have 12 group meetings a year and 4 of those meetings there is a half day “expert resource speaker”. These speakers are some of the same ones that you hear speaking to thousands but for Vistage they come to your group meetings in a room about this size (NGB) with you and your 12 to 15 group members. They deliver workshops on subjects your Chair has selected based on your needs and goals. These speakers are experts on areas like: leadership, finance, sales, marketing, HR, health, stress management, hiring, etc. The workshop engages you in the process and you become part of the content. You will score each speaker based on the takeaway value for you and your business in other words what did this speaker help get you to the next step. With 2,000 speakers, VISTAGE has the largest speaker’s bureau in the US and it constantly growing and changing based on members feedback. Take out your PAS and write down “Listen to Speaker CD” before 121.
  7. The 3rd leg of the ladder is when you walk through “The VISTAGE Gateway” where you gain access to a globally created online library of best practices, a database of audio and video content from top business experts, notices of Regional and international Vistage conferences, special interest chat rooms and the rest of the worldwide Vistage member community – all 14,500 of them as needed. Take out your PAS and write down www.Vistage.com We may want a story here about the gateway.
  8. When we sum up what all Vistage members tells us about their job it looks a lot like your - they describe their top 3 challenges Growing Revenue and Profits Staying focused on Strategic Issues Developing Key People Now Take out your PAS and write 1 line to describe 2 or 3 significant decisions you need to make. (significant is at least $100k or worth the time of a room full of really smart people.
