Get to know why a 40 year old learning professional, living not far from her work may prefer using her car instead of walking. Even it's an 8 minute walk.
Empathize and define exercise to detect problems or needs that may seem not so obvious in the transition between home, work or school. Using the Empathy Map as a tool we achieved a Problem statement.

Insights:
•I go by car, because I’m in the
morning rush with a tight schedule.
•I would need to sacrifize other things
such as my morning gym
•I would’t consider walking back and
forth to school because I get out really
tired and most of the times with my
laptop wich is heavy. I’m also in charge
of my 7 year old daughter. I’m really
tired, I just want to go home, easy,
comfortable, worry less.
•I do no harm, is so close that I don’t
worry about polluting. My kid walks to
school with my husband so she
receives a good example of healthy
living every morning. She also gets out
of school tired.
I know that ussing the car to
go to school even it’s only a
few blocks away sounds
ridiculous
I work a lot, I give the best of
myself, why shouldn’t I give
me a treat. I’m not harming
anyone.
If I have no choice I would walk, but
I will keep ussing the car everyday,
even is close to home and the car is
parked all day.
I don’t feel any guilt, in fact
I’m proud of the work I do
and how I do it.
Health wise, I go to the gym
everyday, so my health is ok

Marytere needs a way to return home; easy and comfortable ‘cause she’s really tired
after working at Kinder school.
“It’s a way of rewarding my self after all the work, kind of a treat.
Most of all I don’t do no harm”
