1. Reading poetry is challenging in any
language. Depending on the poetry you are
reading, out-of-date vocabulary and
expressions are often used. To help you get a
feeling for poetry in English, there are a few
devices that you can recognize to help you
understand the text better. They are:
3. Introduction to the sequence:
Students are going to
read the definition of each of the
previously stated words, and do some
simple exercises which will help them
perform the final task. Go ahead!!!
4. Objective:
Students are going to write
simple short poems or funny rhymes by
applying what they have just learnt. In
this way students will have the
opportunity to expand their
vocabulary.
5. Read the definition for similes and do the
exercise to help you identify them better.
