The Encore is a $425 million public-private partnership project in Tampa, FL to redevelop a blighted downtown area. It will create over 4,000 construction jobs and nearly 1,000 permanent jobs while developing affordable housing, retail, and a town center with green spaces. The project will break ground on its first residential development in 2010 after completing infrastructure work.
