OBJECTIVES Today we will...… ,[object Object]
 Make inferences and analyze text to   come to a conclusion about the plot    or characters ,[object Object],   dialogue with other characters
[object Object],Something that is endless has no limit or end. ,[object Object],Realistic means seeing things as they are. ,[object Object],The universe is everything that exists, including Earth, other      planets, stars, and space. ,[object Object],An astronaut is someone who is trained to fly       in a spacecraft. VOCABULARY REVIEW
VOCABULARY REVIEW ,[object Object],Being sensible means having good judgment. ,[object Object],When you complained about something, you protested. ,[object Object],Someone who is paralyzed is made powerless or helpless. ,[object Object],Pennants are long, narrow flags shaped      like triangles.
GENRE: Realistic   Fiction ,[object Object],   that could have happened in real life. ,[object Object],   believable.  ,[object Object],   could happen.
STRATEGY:  Make Inferences ,[object Object],   everything that is happening in a story. ,[object Object],   and clues from the text to make inferences,     or draw reasonable conclusions about the     characters and the plot. ,[object Object],   critically about, the characters’ experiences     and compare these to their own experiences.
SKILL: Character ,[object Object],   to a character’’s personality by     telling what the character does       and says. ,[object Object],   character through his or her     dialogue with other characters.
