PROMPT: Each workshop will correspond to a section of the business
model canvas. Students will have to
connect the learning points in cases
and lectures to their project.

PROMPT: After visiting different businesses, mentors will lead discussions
that will analyze corporate culture
and business execution.

9-part business model canvas and
present each section as it is developed to mentors. Each part of the
canvas will challenge students to
think critically about choices their
business would have to make.

clarify various points of view

business model, they will have to understand the interconnected nature
of business decisions

students from different nationalities.
They will both have to learn to work
with each other and then present
their ideas succinctly and coherently.

PROMPT: During workshops, student
participation will be strongly encouraged. After analyzing parts of cases,
students will work independently
and in small teams.

PROMPT: Before and after visiting
local businesses, students will work
with mentors to discover and explore
the foundations of business communication and collaboration.

OBJECTIVES: Teams will use the
Team Learning Assistant software to
encourage positive team norms.
Mentors will assist in presentation
styles and practice.

OBJECTIVES: Students should become accustomed to speaking in
front of their peers and mentors.

OBJECTIVES: Students will experience
first hand the application of business
communication and collaboration.

OUTCOME: Practice during smaller
team assignments and presentations
to make for stronger final projects.

OUTCOME: Students will gain a new
appreciation for successful communication using the transposing lessons
from the Team Learning Assistant
Software to real life.

OUTCOME: Students will complete a
verbal presentation and written explanation for their final project.

Young Entrepreneur Challenge Business Model Competition, students
must conduct research into various
industries to develop new business

with reading Business Model Generation prior to arriving at Young Entrepreneur Challenge.

PROMPT: Mentors will work with students to discuss and explore various
ethical and legal issues local businesses face.

each assignment without the direct
oversight of an instructor.

They will both have to learn to work with each other and then present their ideas succinctly and coherently. PROMPT: During workshops, student participation will be strongly encouraged. After analyzing parts of cases, students will work independently and in small teams. PROMPT: Before and after visiting local businesses, students will work with mentors to discover and explore the foundations of business communication and collaboration. OBJECTIVES: Teams will use the Team Learning Assistant software to encourage positive team norms. Mentors will assist in presentation styles and practice. OBJECTIVES: Students should become accustomed to speaking in front of their peers and mentors. OBJECTIVES: Students will experience first hand the application of business communication and collaboration. OUTCOME: Practice during smaller team assignments and presentations to make for stronger final projects. OUTCOME: Students will gain a new appreciation for successful communication using the transposing lessons from the Team Learning Assistant Software to real life.
