- It also controls activates the
secretion of several other
endocrine glands
3. Two Functioning Parts
• POSTERIOR PITUITARY
• Hormones released by the former is
- Oxytocin –influence the contraction of
the uterus during childbirth and the
reflexive ejection of milk from the
mammary glands.
- Vasopressin – regulates the amount of
water in the body and indirectly
controls the blood pressure.
