2009 by Dr Thomas Whitfield, who received his doctorate in biochemistry from Oxford
University.
The company received a grant award in 2009 from the Flying Start Entrepreneur fund through
the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (now the NCEE, the National Centre for
Entrepreneurship in Education). This fund was supported by the National Endowment for
