This document provides information and instructions for adding audio and video to courses in Etudes. It discusses various options for capturing video, differences between old and new embed codes, video hosting platforms like YouTube and Vimeo, adding captions, and using Voki to create an audio player with a talking avatar. The key points are: YouTube and Vimeo accept both old and new embed codes; dotSUB makes captioning easy but only supports new codes; captions are important for accessibility but automatic transcription is often incorrect so manual captioning is best; and Voki allows adding voice to an avatar without physically recording audio.
2. How to Get Video
Real camcorder
Flip camera
Digital camera
iPhone
Photo Booth/iMovie

3. NEW code vs. OLD code
Old code begins with <object…

Won’t work in iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, etc.
New code begins with <iframe…

Now ALL editors will accept new code
