The Disaster Animal Response Team (DART) aims to: 1) Provide emergency animal sheltering services and assist CERT teams in evacuating household pets during disasters. 2) Expand CERT skills to assist all animals, human and otherwise, to survive disasters through DART training. 3) Respond to animal rescue requests and set up emergency animal shelters near human evacuation centers.

- Purpose of a Disaster Animal Response Team To expand the skill set of Community Emergency Response Teams to be able to assist all animals (human and others) to survive any disaster.
