10. God’s Plan?
7And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast
hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and
hast eaten of the tree, of which I
commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat
of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in
sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy
life; 18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring
forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of
the field; 19In the sweat of thy face shalt
thou eat bread, till thou return unto the
ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust
thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
11. God’s Plan?
20And Adam called his wife's name Eve;
because she was the mother of all
living. 21Unto Adam also and to his wife did
the LORD God make coats of skins, and
clothed them. 22And the LORD God said,
Behold, the man is become as one of us, to
know good and evil: and now, lest he put
forth his hand, and take also of the tree of
life, and eat, and live for ever:
12. God’s Plan?
23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth
from the garden of Eden, to till the ground
from whence he was taken. 24So he drove
out the man; and he placed at the east of
the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a
flaming sword which turned every way, to
keep the way of the tree of life.
13. Repentance
And God saw that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually. And it repented the
LORD that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him at his heart. And the
LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have
created from the face of the earth; both
man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and
the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I
have made them. But Noah found grace in
the eyes of the LORD.
14. Angered
9And the LORD said unto Moses, I have
seen this people, and, behold, it is a
stiffnecked people: 10Now therefore let me
alone, that my wrath may wax hot against
them, and that I may consume them: and I
will make of thee a great nation. 11And
Moses besought the LORD his God, and
said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot
against thy people, which thou hast brought
forth out of the land of Egypt with great
power, and with a mighty hand?
15. Angered
12Wherefore should the Egyptians speak,
and say, For mischief did he bring them out,
to slay them in the mountains, and to
consume them from the face of the earth?
Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of
this evil against thy people. 13Remember
Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to
whom thou swarest by thine own self, and
saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as
the stars of heaven, and all this land that I
have spoken of will I give unto your seed,
and they shall inherit it for ever.

18. God’s Miracles
11And it came to pass, as they fled from
before Israel, and were in the going down to
Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great
stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah,
and they died: they were more which died
with hailstones than they whom the children
of Israel slew with the sword. 12Then spake
Joshua to the LORD in the day when the
LORD delivered up the Amorites before the
children of Israel, and he said in the sight of
Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon;
and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
19. God’s Miracles
13And the sun stood still, and the moon
stayed, until the people had avenged
themselves upon their enemies. Is not this
written in the book of Jasher? So the sun
stood still in the midst of heaven, and
hasted not to go down about a whole
day. 14And there was no day like that
before it or after it, that the LORD
hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the
LORD fought for Israel.

21. God’s Miracles
10Neither murmur ye, as some of
them also murmured, and were
destroyed of the destroyer. 11Now
all these things happened unto
them for examples: and they are
written for our admonition, upon
whom the ends of the world are
come. 12Wherefore let him that
thinketh he standeth take heed lest
he fall.
22. God’s Miracles
13There hath no temptation taken
you but such as is common to man:
but God is faithful, who will not
suffer you to be tempted above that
ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to
escape, that ye may be able to
bear it. 14Wherefore, my dearly
beloved, flee from idolatry.
