Plagiarism involves presenting another's work as one's own, including copying words or ideas without credit, changing words but copying sentence structure, or copying so much from a source that it makes up the majority of the work. Recent studies found that almost 80% of college students admit to cheating at least once, 36% of undergraduates have admitted to plagiarizing written material, and 90% of students believe cheaters are rarely caught or punished. Plagiarism can take various forms such as turning in another's work, failing to cite sources, or giving incorrect source information.
