2. Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) was one of the Prophets sent to the Bani Israil. He was
given the miracle of curing the sick, healing the blind and bringing the
dead back to life with the permission of Allah (s.w.t.). Some people
believed in him but others did not.

4. The Jewish Rabbis did not believe in Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) even though he
showed them exactly where the Tawrat had been altered.

refused to listen.

5. One of the Jewish Rabbis, told him, “If you really are a Prophet, then take
some clay from the ground, mould it in the shape of a bird and bring the
bird to life in front of us and all the people. We will then believe in you.”

6. Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) took some clay,
mixed it with water and moulded it
to the shape of a bird. The believers
prayed for his success while the
disbelievers prayed that he would
fail.

7. After making the bird, Prophet ‘Isa
(a.s.) held it in his hand and prayed to
Allah to give life to the bird.
By the power of Allah
(s.w.t.), his prayer
was answered. It
became a real bird
and flew away.
The believers were
happy and the
disbelievers were
shocked, but they
still refused to
believe.
