• Etta Baker Memorial Scholarship
– The Etta Baker Memorial Scholarship was founded in honor of Etta Baker, a
devoted military spouse. While her husband was installation commander here at
Fort Meade, she became very involved with the OSC and the post schools. While
he was still in command, Etta passed away. Because of her involvement in the
Officers’ Spouses’ Club and the schools, Colonel Baker established this
scholarship in Etta’s memory to benefit those who achieved academic success in
high school.
– ELIGIBILITY
• Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (unweighted).
• Applicant must be a candidate for graduation from high school in Spring 2012.
• Military Sponsor must be an Active Duty Service member and meet one of the
