To get rid of wax spots and oil, apply mineral spirits or naphtha. Dip a cushy rag or very soft
steel wool in mineral spirit and hitch softly on the dissembled area.
Occasionally the wax on the furniture may break the wood. If this has happened and so
cleaning it with spirit may leave you with bare wood. And then check exhaustively before
using anything on your furniture.
If you find the cease of your furniture eroding, it means that it was already damaged. In that
case the better thing to do is to strip the wood and refurnish it.
To obscure blazing scratch on the article of furniture, use padding lacquer. Take a soft cloth
and bend the corners so that the center converts into a ball. Spread padding lacquer onto the
pad and tap it onto your decoration to distribute the lacquer through the pad. Use the pad on
the piece of furniture in the direction of the grain. Apply one smooth, gentle movement while
using lacquer. Leave the lacquer dry and reapply whenever it is essential. Don't exaggerate it,
since you may have to reconstruct the whole piece.
You are able to apply polishing chemical compound to dispatch light scratches. These
chemical compounds are best applied on furniture having high gloss sheen.
· If you accidently drop alcoholic beverage or perfume on your furniture it may demolish the
varnish. Take a soft tissue or cloth and apply lemon oil to wipe it off directly.
