THEATRICAL)THEATRICAL)
United International Pictures (UIP), formed in 1981, is jointly owned by
its Partners, Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures.

7. The reason behind choosing these two different types of
distribution channels is that it will enable me to reach my target
audience appropriately.
United International Pictures is a non theatrical distribution
company, allowing spectators outside the conventional movie
theatres to access films. Given it is a subsidiary it can also attract
different types of audiences, not only my target audience. On the
other hand, DreamWorks is a theatrical distribution company,
meaning they work with theatrical exhibitors in order to screen
the film, which may increase the reputation of my film.
Furthermore, these international companies are well established
which will add value to my film.
