in the Mekong Delta. On arrival, you visit the bustling afternoon market and enjoy a
visually stunning boat ride. You return to your boat for dinner and a performance of
Mekong Folk dancing. You overnight on La Marguerite.
Day 3: Vinh Long - Sadec – Tan Chau (B, L, D)
Sadec was the setting for Marguerite Duras’s novel, ‘The Lover’. Indeed during your
guided tour of the settlement you can visit the House of Huynh Thuy Le, now known as
‘The Lovers’ Museum’. You pass by the school where Marguerite’s mother taught and
view the home of Marguerite from across the river. In the afternoon you will arrive in
Tan Chau, a remote small town on the main branch of the Mekong River. You overnight
on La Marguerite.
Day 4: Tan Chau – Border – Cambodia (B, L, D)
Tan Chau is famous for its silk and during your visit you may like to make a stop at a
traditional silk making factory. The town is also renowned for its rattan mat production.
You return to the boat and enjoy lunch as you cruise towards the border. In the afternoon,
you enjoy a cooking demonstration given by the Executive Chef at the Saigon Lounge. In
the afternoon, the vessel will enter the Kingdom of Cambodia and head towards its
capital, Phnom Penh. You overnight on La Marguerite.
Day 5: Phnom Penh arrival (B, L, D)
Once considered the most attractive of the cities that the French constructed in Indochina,
the city is today recovering from its turbulent past. Today you will embark on a
comprehensive sightseeing tour of Phnom Penh. At the end of the day, you enjoy dinner
on your vessel accompanied by a special Khmer musical performance.
Day 6: Chong Koh – Oudong – Kompong Tralach (B, L, D)
In early morning, the vessel will cruise on towards the little known village of Chong Koh.
After breakfast, you take a leisurely morning stroll through this silk weaving village. You
return to the boat and continue on to Prek K’dam, where an afternoon tour of Oudong
will commence. You depart Oudong for the journey to Kompong Tralach, where you will
visit Wat Kompong Tralach Pleu. You continue your tour with a fun ox-cart ride to the
Tonle Sap River as you travel through enchanting countryside punctuated by small

Trip Notes:
Due to the low level of the water in the lake from March to July, the boat may not be
able to cross the lake to reach Siem Reap. During this period, the visit of the floating
village of Chnol Tru will be done, instead of the floating village of Kompong Luong and
the passenger will cross the lake by small speed boats, the timing remains unchanged.
English Speaking tour guide is available on boat; he will give you all the information
related to the tourist destinations.
Things to bring: You should take passport with valid visa, sun block, hat or cap and
