The virtual tour summarizes the services and resources available at the Rio Hondo College Library. It is located on the second floor of the Learning Resource Center building. The library promotes sustainability through its green building materials and systems. Services include access to books, periodicals, databases, research help, study spaces, computers, printing, and group study rooms. Library hours and instructions for using resources are provided.

11. More than 40 PCs are available by
reservation for 90-minutes at a time in the
library's Computer Commons.
12. Reserve a PC
• To Reserve a Computer Type your student ID
and make up a 4 character or more password
• You will be assigned to a PC for 90 min
13. Copy Center
• The copy center is located just past the
circulation desk.
• Purchase a print card for 1 dollar.
• 10cents a page for printing and copying
14. Printing
• To print a document; press print and a box
will pop up. Enter in a short password and
proceed to the copy center.
• You must insert your copy card, select
your print job from the list, type in your
password then select “start printing.
15. Study Areas
• There are many study areas
around the library.
• There are also 6 group study
rooms available for a two hour
check out.
• Visit the Reference Desk
make a reservation.
19. Circulating Bookshelves
• These books can be checked out at the
Circulation Desk using your student ID.
• They are organized by letter, using The
Library of Congress classification system.
20. Finding Books
• The library catalog is used to find books.
• It can be searched by the book title,
author, subject or keyword.
• Please stop by the reference desk for
assistance searching the library catalog.
The call number can be used to locate
a book on the circulating bookshelves.

Click the “Library” tab while in Access Rio
24. We Have Free WIFI
• To access the WIFI choose the Guest Rio
account, this is an open access network.
• You must click continue anyway at the
certificate prompt.
• Click the “Accept” button to get access to
the internet.
• WIFI will work with tablets, smartphones,
Laptops as long as the “Accept” button is
clicked to accept the terms and conditions.
