This document announces upcoming events organized by the HEAT club at CGCC, including a march for climate action on April 6th and 7th, a week of sustainability events from April 14th-18th including guest speakers and a book drive, an Earth Day Symposium on April 22nd for student presentations, and a Harvest Festival on April 30th and May 1st to celebrate the ETC garden with local food and music. Students are encouraged to participate in the events and sign up for time slots.
2. Great March for Climate Action
This Upcoming Sunday, April 6th (4/6)
@ 6 PM
Marchers arrive and will camp on ASU West campus.
ASU has invited ASEC and HEAT to come to campus to meet the marchers and share
stories, etc.
This Upcoming Monday, April 7th (4/7)
@ 4 PM – 6 PM
Join the rally from 4pm-6pm on the east end of the park in the 'urban plaza' area.
The address is 1134 N Central Ave, Phoenix, United States.
Meeting in front of ASU West to join the marchers for their 15.4 mile* march to
Margaret T. Hance park in downtown.
*You can choose to march as far as you want, and are not obligated to march the full
distance.

4. The Earth Day Symposium features a series of short presentations
(approx. 10 minutes) prepared by fellow students to raise
awareness about the human footprint, and to inspire a
culture of sustainable habits.
*Ask your professors if you can get extra credit for
attending and/or presenting at the Earth Day Symposium!

The Harvest Festival is the time of year that we celebrate the cultivation of our efforts over
the past semester, and it has been a HEAT tradition since the club's inception.
ETC Garden produce and seeds will be given for a donation.
Local food vendors, artists, and musicians will also be
attending this amazing festival that is not to be missed!
