Why our projects need to be here
Social and mobile is not a fad. It is now. It will only grow. Projects can tap
into this source, but must be strategic, purposeful and willing to engage.

Why should we adapt?
All major federal agencies on Twitter and YouTube
“ majority use the site to broadcast rather than to engage audiences in
conversation, except NASA and military branches.”
AMTRAK paid to get followers on Twitter, going from
8,000 to 22,000 in 2 months.
“ We wanted to get the word out there to our customers and potential
customers about how they could get the latest rail news and other company
information.”

By 2013, 34.9 percent of the U.S. population—roughly 1.19 billion people—will conduct business while on the go
Founded in 1978, CNT is a national leader in promoting more livable and sustainable urban communities
Let me …..by showing you an example, the Parsons Brinkerhoff application. Parsons Brinkerhoff is working with MAVEN, a group of civic organizations, to get public feedback on transportation projects in the greater Atlanta area. Since it is an application aimed at civic engagement, it needed to be available to everyone, on the web, and to all citizens, regardless of which smart phone they accessed it from. So, Parsons Brinkerhoff needed 4 platforms – iOS – both the iPhone and iPad, Android, and Blackberry. Parsons Brinkerhoff approached us in February, needing their application up and running by April. 2 months. 4 platforms in 2 months. How did we meet this need? With 1 Developer. Our 1 developer wrote the application once and deployed it to 4 platforms. He was able to create all of the code for the iPhone, android phone, blackberry and web, start to finish, in 2 months. That is the power of GeneXus. 4 Platforms, 2 months, 1 developer.
