1. 1. Scope of Work
Scope of work comprises of:
1.1. INSPECTIONS AND MEASUREMENTS AT SITE
LEAP Standard on Stator Windings
Consists of the following measurements and analysis
1.1 Polarization De-Polarization Current Analysis (PDCA)
1.2 Measurement of Capacitance and Tandelta
1.3 Recording of Partial Discharges & analysis
1.4 Non-Linear Behavior Analysis
1.5 Winding Resistance Measurements
1.6 Life Expectancy Analysis
1.2 ANALYSIS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The submission of data consists of:
(a) Interpretation and reporting of tests results and analysis, which will include defect
identification, its severity, possible causes and effects
(b) ABB will provide recommendations based on the study of measurements and
analysis for extending the life and/or improving the reliability and availability of the
stator windings tested, and will consist of:
• Recommendations for maintenance, including the development of a
maintenance and inspection plan, which could also include major
repair/modification/part replacements as required, in order to extend the
estimated life of the stator winding insulation.
• The life expectancy analysis of the stator winding insulation based on the
existing operating conditions, and after suggested maintenance
recommendations.
