- Talk about the buildings on the property and how this is very typical of the homes in the area – using materials around, built piece by piece, etc.
- Talk about how all of the plants around the home had a purpose – food, spices, etc. Where the water comes from
- Mention how we got to go out of the Negril area to some of the famous waterfalls in the area. Talk about the “farm land” surrounding the area, the difference that we saw in the way of life by driving through some of the towns.
- Don’t spend a lot of time on this slide – just mention that we went as part of our time there.
- For This slide – describe what the school was like – small building for 70-80 children, uniforms, bathrooms in the back, etc. Early Childhood center
- Talk about the work we did, how you had the opportunity to go into the classrooms and observe teachers
- This is a picture of donations being given to the principal of the school and of a typical classroom
- Talk about how the laws were being changed and all schools had to have a functioning kitchen – we were assisting in filling the kitchen so that it was up to grade with “marrel” – point out the picture of Diamond and what we were using to transport the piles (behind Autumn)
- Make a note of the fact that we all stayed on the same property and that we were able to work together to finish a project that they had been working on all week.
