The Gathering of Angels is a monthly gathering of
Entrepreneurs looking for capital and Angel Investors
looking for investment opportunities. All will engage in
a pre-selected lineup of presentations geared towards
raising seed capital and benefiting from valuable
feedback from seasoned Angel Investors.
We are an Angel Forum and through our monthly
events, we have found capital for over 375 young
entrepreneurial businesses.
We have facilitated capital fundings ranging from
$20k up to $12.5M.
4. History of GOA
Tarby Bryant is the CEO and founder of the Gathering
of Angels and established the group in Oct 1996 in
Santa Fe, NM. The GOA group has relocated and
now exclusively meets in Atlanta.
Bryant grew up in Atlanta and served as CEO under
then Mayor Andrew Young at the Atlanta Economic
Development Corp. Tarby developed, acquired and
managed 8 hotel projects ranging from 19 rooms to
500 rooms throughout the Southeast. Tarby received
his BA in Economics from Davison College and his
MBA in Finance with Honors from Georgia State
University.
He is a happy family man, being a father of four grown
children and 4 grandchildren and can often be seen on
the local golf courses with a handicap of 10.7.

7. About the Angels
All of our Angels are Accredited Investors as established in
our Registration Process. The SEC defines as:
“An accredited investor, … includes anyone who:
Earned income that exceeded $200,000 (or $300,000 together with a
spouse) in each of the prior two years, and reasonably expects the same
for the current year, OR has a net worth over $1 million, either alone or
together with a spouse (excluding the value of the person’s primary
residence).”
In addition to capital, our Angels bring decades of successful
insight, contacts, and advice for our entrepreneurs.
8. About the Entrepreneurs
Enterprising business owners looking for seed
capital in the range of $20k up to $12.5M typify
our Entrepreneurs. Many of our success stories can
be seen in the technology, product development,
service, online and healthcare industries and more.
We help the entrepreneur rehearse the presentation
for the Angel Investors after their executives
summaries have been reviewed and their
presentation fees are paid.
The entrepreneur will present to the crowd for 20
minutes using video, or Powerpoint and then will
participate in 2-5 minutes of Angel Q&A. The venue
will provide excellent personal exposure before and
after the event with interested Angels.
9. The Venue
Now held at the Georgian Club in Atlanta, the events
are catered with Tarby’s selection of a food menu &
fine wine - the “Elixir of Finance”.
