Day 6: Reviews

2. Day 6
• The OFSTED inspectors have arrived
• Each Department is being inspected
• Each part of the lesson has to be graded and
reviewed
• The lesson has to have an overall grade
• The lesson will be reviewed by other
schools
• Every Department has to submit a report
for the Governors

3. Period 2 – Lesson Review
• Each person will review their own part of
the lesson using the sheets from the teacher
• You need to have the lesson in front of you
• You answer the questions honestly
• At the end you need to add up the answers
and work out the grade you got
• You then need to think of 2 WWW and 2
EBI for that part of the lesson and add it to
the sheet

4. Period 2 – OFSTED Report
• Each department must complete their
OFSTED Report
• There is a link on Moodle
• The Head of Department writes the report
• The information is read out to them by each
person from the sheet they filled out
• The Department work out what Overall
Grade they should get looking at the grades
for each section

5. Period 3 – Visiting Schools

6. Period 3 – Visiting Schools
• Each department now visits other schools –
see the Timetable above for details
• They show their lessons to other schools
• They must get three reviews from three
different schools
• Each review is added to their OFSTED
Report form in the blank space
• Make sure the Report is saved!

7. Levels of Learning
• VIDEO WILL BE HERE BY PERIOD 3!

8. Your IL Task
• After every inspection a school has to write an
Action Plan to give to the Governors
• On your Report there is space for comments
by your team and your headteacher
• Each person in the Dept writes 100 word
comment on their lesson
• The comment should be based on the level of
learning video you watched
• Your “headteacher” will write a comment too
and give you an idea of the level of learning

on how well you did
• They will also give you an idea of the level of
learning you showed for each part of the
lesson AND overall!
