Cineaste review1
1.
2. Cineaste is a film review page that focuses on reviewing political
type films. This review starts off by introducing the director and
how they take an approach from the novel to the success of their
film.
“A director who tackles the greatest of all American novels
(well, that’s my vote) can expect everyone who has taken
a high-school English class to be waiting in ambush: to carp
at the casting, to lament the omission of favorite scenes,
and to bemoan the intrinsic failure of cinema ever to
capture the elegance and romance of the original. The
auteurists have taught us to view literary adaptations on
their own terms, but certain books are so beloved, so
crystalline in memory, that it is impossible not to filter the
spectatorship of the film through the pages of the novel.”
3. Within the layout it consist between the text with rather large
images which are centred position which gives you a visual
representation of what the film to engage the readers of the
review. This is done well to show relevance and has been
organised in such a way in which it doesn’t clash with the text at
the same time.
4. Having always been enchanted in an embarrassingly
mushy way by The Great Gatsby, I cringed upon hearing
that another film version had been green-lighted, as it
were.
For a review it uses professional language but at the
same time uses formal at the same time; this technique
is good for touching into all kinds of audiences.
5. This section makes them differ from other review pages
as you get a little history on how they go from novel to
film.
