● Build to 'exit' --> Build to flop.

● Don't complain. Just do it (c).

● Talk the talk and walk the walk - practice
what you preach.
○ Know what you don’t know.
● Listen too! It should be 50/50 talk/listen
time.
● Be direct. Tell the truth, however hard.

● Be responsive.
● Adopt at least one company every X
days.
● Clearly commit to mentor or do not.
● Guide, don’t control.
● Provide specific actionable advice.
● Be challenging/robust but never
destructive.
● Remember that startups are hard.
